
Bokamio
Bokamio is an infinite runner for Android and iOS. Original characters, handmade environments, and a gameplay loop built around replayability. Solo project, everything from concept to shipping. Won 1st Prize at the Moroccan Game Developer Competition 2016 and picked up a sponsorship from a major local ISP.
Technical Brief
Role: Solo developer and artist (full-cycle production)
Engine: Unity (C#)
Gameplay Systems: Procedural obstacle generation with level chunk pooling, difficulty curve scaling, score/combo multipliers, progression and unlockables. All gameplay code written in C#.
Art Pipeline: 3D characters and environments modeled in Blender. 2D UI, icons, and marketing assets in Photoshop and Illustrator. Stylized VFX and character animations authored in Unity.
Backend: PlayFab for player profiles, leaderboards, and cloud saves.
Mobile Optimization: Batched draw calls, compressed textures, pooled instantiation, and memory profiling to hit stable frame rates on low-end Android and iOS hardware.
Recognition: 1st Prize, Moroccan Game Developer Competition 2016. Sponsored by a major local ISP post-launch.
